Greetings Benton District! Our names are Robbie Root, and Steve Derlacki, and we are the 2003 camporee co-directors.
This year we are trying a plethora of new approaches to camporee. One of these innovations
will be this web site. This Site will have new announces posted regularly, so make sure you
check back often. We will soon have links forms that can be downloaded, printed, and turned in,
so we are trying a low impact method of Paperwork.

Announcements Regarding Camporee 2003

1-21-03
Many things have been thus far regarding
Camporee. The theme this year has been decided to
be "Back to the Basics." The co-directors have
been asked to attend a council wide camporee
training on Saturday Jan 25th. The Leaders Guide
has had work done to it, and will soon be
available on line. We are planning to attend the
Feb. Roundtable to give information to all units.
Troop Presentations are begining to be planned.
If you wish to have us come talk to your
unit, please contact us via e-mail or phone.
There has been some adult positions filled this
far. The Adult advisor is Dave Derlaki, and the
Adult Treasurer is Michele Bojanowski. We look
forward to all volunteers and working for Benton
District

forms are not up, but some will be available soon!

Whew what a busy Day!
We finally added Jr. Staff Applications to the web site!
You can finally follow the link to the forms
page, and there is a link to the Jr. Staff
application, in word format. There are
vinstructions on returning thos applications to
your scoutmaster on the form. WE HAVE A STAFF
COOK! Dennis Johanson (T.161) has gratiously
volunteered to be the staff cook, and will provide
awesome meals for those who wish to serve.
Speaking of serving...There are still adult
volunteer positions available, e-mail us to let us
know if you are interested in serving Benton
District. Well thats all for today. Have a good

We know it has been a long time since an update, but
one is coming. This week is mid terms week, and we
are kinda busy. Don't worry we will have a huge
update soon!

Hey all! It has been roughly a month since this was updated, and wow what a busy month both for us, and also for Camporee! The site has been chosen for Back to the Basics
The site is Flat Mountain. It is NOT the same site as the rainout year. This site is in a different location. There were many reasons for choosing it, but most
of all we chose it because of how close it is to Corvallis, about 30min away, and also it has a superb view! There will be opportunities to visit the site before
The actual weekend of camporee, so no worries there.
We are still in DESPERATE Need of committee positions to be filled. Please contact us if you can help! There is not that great of time commitment to be filled! we just
some people to step forward and get things done! Please volunteer as you can.
We are working on finallizing the budget for this year, and it will be done on Friday.
There are only the Jr. Staff Applications on the files page, as we will soon have the Adult Leader handbook out, and it will go up hopefully in the next week. We have all
but dropped the preregistration, so no need to worry about that.
So once again, sorry about the delay on getting this updated, but please bear with us. We are both college students, and all things take some time. Keep up the patience.

HEY EVERYBODY ITS TIME FOR CAMP!
Well the site has been updated with new forms in
Forms Section, and a topo map of Camporee.
Steve and I set up a whole bunch on saturday
and had a great time with those who showed.
