If you hear the water
running does it mean you can drink.
Does it mean you can dance
among the ripples.
Letting the water glide over
you.
Glistening.
Dripping Down.
Or should you stand back
and admire from a distance.
Leaving it fresh and clean
for the next.
Jump into the waves.
Savor the coolness.
Enjoy it while you can.
Perhaps it would be more
decent to share.
What is decency.
Has the one before you left
it untouched.
Have they too selfishly dove
in.
Greedy.
You may not know.
You may dance among the waves
of soiled water.
Take heed to dance carefully.
