Like I said, my name is Sandra. And I am a "survivor" of domestic violence. I have been separated since August 8th 1995. I remember the date all to well. I guess what got me motivated into doing a few pages is because I have realized how many people go threw domestic violence of some kind every day. I went threw it for a few years thinking that I was the only one. Thinking that there was no where to go or nobody that would listen.
Imagine to my surprise. I soon realized that thousands of women as well as men go threw the same thing every single day. I astonished by the statistics.
I was also astonished by the fact that if my husband beat up an intruder in our home it's considered a felony. But if he beats his wife it's considered a misdemeanor. Go figure....
