MY 1993 BLACK/BLACK SLC CORRADO

I got this thing for a steal...I have been looking for a few months now and finally found a clean, low mileage SLC. This HAS leather, so a special up yours to all of you who clowned on my GTi's cloth.

I have modded it a bit, most recently putting in a Techtonics Tuning Chip and Matrix Cone intake. I also added yellow city lights...it also has a Turn 2 as well...I plan subtle modifications in the future. I added B4 Passat cupholders and replaced the (broken) and bulky factory sunroof/dome light switch with an A3 one which is plug and play.

I am planning on a badgeless grille, VW factory amber sidemarkers and then the hard to find BBS Solitude wheels which I have located and secured a set since they only came on the limited Edition Corrado Storm.

This car hasn't leaked a drop of oil. After a full inspection, the only thing that was bad was a tierod and 2 CV boots as well as new sunroof cables. I opted to have the thermoswitch and timer replaced as these seem to go bad on VR6s. The aux pump and afterrun pump was recently replaced. I also chose to buy a 2 piece bra which is nice for long freeway drives to shows. The headliner will also be getting cleaned and the foglights both need to be replaced with the tempered fogs.

I urge anyone with a 1993 to check with your dealer about parts on your car that are covered under the coolant system recall, I had almost $300 worth of parts and labor taken care of at no cost to me.

I might add, it's nice to have a girlfriend who SUPPORTED this purchase.

I have this to say to anyone considering buying a Corrado...they are spendy cars to keep up but the cockpit feel, 18 gallon gas tank and speed sensitive wing make it truly a unique car. These cars are perhaps the best test of a VW owner...Wings up!
