On several occasions I volunteered to be a guard on convoy trips to the Ca Lu Airstrip. I saw much of the countryside and the local residents on these trips. Pictures were shot with a Ricoh Instantmatic that I purchased from another Marine so the quality isn't great but you get the idea.
