My Parents did a little Bio on me here it is: Sean was due to be born on 15 Apr. 1982 but surprised us all by arriving on April 1st….He was a quiet, happy, loving baby and has grown to be the same as a young man. He was fearless as a child and learned to ride a bicycle when he was 2 years old. Sean was student council representative for his 4th and 5th grade classes when he attended East Gresham Grade School. He completed the DARE program there and participated in the Special Olympics held at Gordon Russell Middle School. At Dexter McCarty Middle School Sean showed a proficiency in the arts and industrial sciences. He sang with the "McCarty Encore" for many performances including one for the Zoo Lights at Washington Park. He played on the McCarty Hornets basketball team his 7th and 8th grade years. Sean went to Gresham High School and was in their Living Skills program. He excelled in "foods" class and has even taught mom some new recipes. He is a member of the Gresham Gophers Cross Country Track Team and was running 3-5 miles a day until he became ill in October. Sean will be going to the Living Skills apartments at Mount Hood next year. Sean has been an active member of the Lents Pathfinder club and he is looking forward to returning to that activity when he feels well enough. He is enjoying the weekly fellowship dinner meetings and has been studying Steps to Christ with the group that meets at Henry's. We feel very fortunate to have Sean for a son. Even though some of the last 18 years have been problematic we have always benefited from Sean's perspective on life. When he was small he called us Tim and Angie instead of Dad and Mom. When he was 11 and his grandmother was dying, he wanted to be at the hospital with her. One of his uncles thought it was terrible we would allow him to be there because he felt Sean didn't understand what was happening. We asked Sean if he understood that grandma was very ill and wouldn't live much longer. He said something we will never forget. "Life is like a piece of string. As we grow bits are clipped off until nothing is left." Thank you Sean for your sweet, loving nature and may God continue to be with you as you grow in Him.
Love, Mom & Dad
