A Subsiding End

May 06, 2001

Voices in my head
speak oh so gently
of a love we once shared
but that will never again be

I told you good-bye
we went our seperate ways
things can never be the same
I've been troubled all these days

Be there any love for me anymore
if I ask I know I'll be scorned
I must know, I implore
was my heart purposely hurt and torn

I desperately look for a door
a way into your heart
I know not what I must do, my heart's so sore
at my picture, my feelings, you throw your dart

Over a ledge I take a peer
I see you there with open arms
I jump, my mind falls with fear
as a fall, cruel world can do me no harm
