• Taz defeated Tajiri (Submission) *Heavyweight Championship*
- Tajiri quickly took the offensive with springboard maneuvers as he spit in
Taz's face. Taz then powerbombed him over the top rope and hit a tazplex to
lay him out in the center of the ring. Tajiri and Taz then stood
face-to-face in the ring as they exchanged slaps to the chest. Taz then hit
another tazplex leaving Tajiri motionless in the ring as he picked him up
and hit numerous crossface punches. Tajiri began to fight back, however Taz
caught him in the tazmission for the defeat.
• As ECW on TNN began, Joey Styles was shown in the center of the ring with
the crowd giving strong chants of "ECW," "TNN," and "NYC." As Joey Styles
was pumping up the crowd, Joel Gertner entered the ring and explained that
he was the new color commentator and true host of the program. Styles began
to have a fit in the ring as Gertner told the crowd how great he is. Styles
then welcomed "their" guest as Jerry Lynn entered the ring.
• Jerry Lynn/Bill Alfanso Confrontation.
- Jerry Lynn explained that he would not cut a promo like the WWF and WCW do
on Monday nights, but rather talk normally. He then began to pump up the
ECW on TNN show as the crowd began an "ECW" chant. He then said that he
would bring the crowd the best match in wrestling today, as he called out
Rob Van Dam to defend his Television Championship. Instead, Bill Alfanso
entered the ring and explained that he will not get another title shot. He
then slapped Lynn in the face which prompted him to begin choking him in the
corner. Rob Van Dam then entered the ring as the two wrestlers began to
brawl. Officials tried to seperate them as ECW on TNN went to a commercial
break.
• The Dudley Boyz pinned Balls Mahoney/Spike Dudley *Tag Team
Championships*
- In the commentating area, Joel Gertner explained that tonight's match was
The Dudley Boyz' last in ECW. The Dudley Boyz were quickly taken care of by
Balls and Spike after they entered the ring. Buh Buh Ray Dudley then
delivered a regular powerbomb to Spike Dudley followed by a top rope
powerbomb. Back from commercial break, Spike was thrown over the ropes and
into a table as Balls smacked both Dudley Boyz with a steel chair. Balls
then brought a new table into the ring as he poured thumbtacks all over it.
He was about to powerbomb Buh Buh into the table, when D-Von smacked Balls
on the back with a chair allowing both men to powerbomb him into the table.
Spike then made the save, however The Dudley Boyz hit the 3D for the pin to
become the new ECW Tag Team Champions.
• ECW then showed a monatge of the Impact Players as the Dudley Boyz were
shown returning to the ring. Joey Styles speculated that they were there to
gloat as ECW went to a commercial break.
• The Dudley Boyz/Tommy Dreamer Confrontation.
- The Dudley Boyz entered the ring and explained taht they have almost
destroyed ECW and that all they need to do is take the backbone out. They
began to rant about how they were going to be made into legends when they
entered the World Wrestling Federation and explained how Vince McMahon was
better than anybody. They then began to taunt Tommy Dreamer by reminding
him of what they did to Beulah and calling Francine a whore. Although at
first Dreamer was restrained by Heyman, he finally entered the ring and
knocked both Dudleys out.
• Raven/Tommy Dreamer pinned The Dudley Boyz *Tag Team Champions*
- Tommy Dreamer then threw them both into a steel ladder, however Buh Buh
Ray was able to turn the tides and throw Dreamer into the same ladder. He
then delivered a side-suplex to Tommy Dreamer as he threatened Francine with
the ladder. The Dudleys then began to fight off every wrestler that came
their way including Sign Guy Dudley. They were about to hit a 3D on Tommy
Dreamer, when he reversed it into a DDT. Raven then ran into the ring and
delivered a DDT to Buh Buh Ray recieving a pin to allow himself and Tommy
Dreamer to become the ECW Tag Team Champions. The ECW crowd then began a
"welcome back" chant as Raven entered the crowd and cheered with the fans.
