• Sunday Night Heat began with a shot of the outside of the Target Center
with Michael Cole wearing a tuxedo on the inside of the areana. Kevin Kelly
was then shown outside of Shane McMahon's locker room as Debra and Jeff
Jarrett were shown arguing.
• "Here and There" then played as a montage was shown of all the problems
between Jeff Jarrett and Debra. The song "Plublicity" then played as
footage rolled of D'Lo Brown becoming the double-champion. "Microwaved"
also played throughout these montages.
• Before the commercial break, Triple H and Chyna were shown walking into
the arena.
• The song "Breaker, Breaker" was played as a montage was shown with The
Undertaker and Paul Wight explaining that armageddon would be upon the World
Wrestling Federation. "When I Rise" was then played as a montage was shown
about Kane and X-Pac.
• Before the commercial break, Jesse Ventura and three other men were shown
walking out of a limo as Linda McMahon was there to meet them. Following
the break, a montage was shown with Jesse Ventura footage.
• Mankind Interview.
- Footage was shown from Mankind's first pitch at a Minnesota Twins game.
Foley was then shown explaining that he had a bond with Jesse Ventura but
that he expected him to be fair none-the-less.
• Footage was then shown of Test and Stephanie McMahon walking out of a
beautiful car earlier today. A recording of Shane McMahon making his match
with Test tonight a no holds barred match was then shown from Livewire.
• Chris Jericho Interview.
- In the backstage area, Chris Jericho was explaining taht he is going to
save Heat and SummerSlam if it gets too bad. He then told Kevin Kelly that
he would stay with him as he finishes what he has to say so people don't
change the channel.
• A montage of the controversary between Test, Stephanie McMahon, Shane
McMahon, and the Mean Street Posse was then shown as "A Better Lie" was
played.
• Test Interview.
- In the backstage area, Test was throwing words out against Shane McMahon
as he appeared from behind and attacked Test with a stick.
• Billy Gunn Interview.
- As The Rock was shown entering the building, Billy Gunn began to rant
about his match with The Rock later in the night. He then explained that
The Rock's wife would know about his rash.
• "Rock the Party" and "Intro" were then played as the Rock was showing
giving a Smackdown Hotel shirt to John Randall of the Vikings.
• After Kevin Kelly talked about the SummerSlam main event, a video aired of
Triple H's trip to the PPV Heavyweight Title match.
• Steve Austin Interview.
- In the backstage area, Steve Austin explained that he would defeat both
Triple H and Mankind in their match later tonight as long as Jesse Ventura
did his job.
• Triple H Interview.
- Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were doing the announcing as Triple H asked the
crowd if they could feel it in the air. Triple H said he could feel it and
taste it as he explained that it was his night and nobody elses. He
continued to rant about how he has worked so hard to get to this point and
that he will become the new WWF champion.
