There are basically three general areas that any musician is constantly working on. These areas are 1)the physical aspect of playing, 2) the intellectual aspect, and 3) the artistic/expressive area. This book contains exercises for the physical and the intellectual portions of your being. As far as the third area, well that comes from your own life experiences.
The informationation in this book can benifit guitarists of all levels. In a nutshell it explains music theory and directly applies those concepts to guitar. This allows you to know your instrument up and down, inside and out. The book covers chord, scale and arpeggio construction for all chords and scales you will ever use; key relationships; and beginning and advanced improvisation tools including an appendix depicting which scales can be used when playing over differnt chords. Essential Concepts even includes a chord dictionary depicting nine different forms of any chord you'll ever need.
