SPECIAL ANTENNAS
Whip Antenna - a flexible vertical antenna usually for vehicles
Despun Antenna- a satellite antenna that is rotated at a rate equal to and opposite from the rate at which the satellite is spinning so it can be pointed continuously to the earth.
Loop Antenna-an antenna that consists of one or more complete turns of a conductor.
Franklin Antenna-an antenna several half wavelengths long with non radiating phasing coils between half wave sections.
Quad helix-a helix without a ground plane used in GPS
Adcock- a directional antenna that consists of two vertical wires spaced one half wavelength apart or less, connected in phase opposition to give a figure of eight radiation. Used in Radio Direction Finders (RDF).
TVRO- Television Receive Only
