Fleetwood Mac ~ The Dance DVD Fleetwood Mac ~ The Dance DVD

Video was very clean. Lots of changing shots and the camera pans all over the stage. Lots of cutting. As reputed, the audio quality is astonishingly natural. It sounds, feels, and breathes LIVE. Sounds were clear, defined, accoustic, warm, & aggressive sometimes given the song. The 5.1 surrounds you but naturally. Fleetwood Mac seemed to really enjoy slamming out their (many!) songs, though Christine McVie's unmistakeable voice seemed like her thoat was closing half the time (ciggies?). I was reminded that Stevie Nicks has a beautiful and truly majestic yet haunting presence beyond her fame. And that voice. Singing leads, she was the woman we want: bold, sexy & loving it, but also consistently exchanging kind glaces with other band members enjoying the moment of the music.... & her contrasting very, very nervous "thank you's" to the audience were kinda odd, but cute.

The group genuinely seemed to like making music, worked up a sweat, and were visibly grateful for audience's adoration. It was a good time. A satisfying amout of many (!) songs: new, old and famous, folksy, rock, ballads. One must note that Lindsey Buckingham is an incredible guitarist. I also noticed Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks sounded especially terrific together with their harmonic but simple background vocals to "Everywhere." On drums, Mick Fleetwood relished it all like a wildman; it was his baby to begin with.

If you ever liked `em, you'll love this DVD. Bravo to the quality production of this DVD disc & gusto & passion of the band.
