Not many cowboys went to school but they were often clever and had a lively way of speaking. Here are a few traditional cowboy sayings.
“Never get up before breakfast. If you have to get up before breakfast, eat breakfast
first.”
“The quickest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your
pocket.”
”If someone out-draws you, smile and walk away. There’s plenty of time to look
tough when you’re out of sight.”
“Admire a big horse, saddle a small one.”
“There’s a lot more to riding a horse than just sitting in the saddle and letting your
feet hang down.”
“When in doubt, let your horse do the thinking.”
