2004 SNOWSTORM

The storm began with 8" of snow on January 1st

ATV sledding in the cul-de-sac

Frosty and our Christmas lights look beautiful in the snow

Then on January 6th we got 4 more inches of snow before it turned to freezing rain coating the city with 2" of ice.

The icicles were the largest ever seen in Portland

Yum!

Our Leyland Cypress's bowed, but didn't break. Many trees did in the city.

The ice encrusted blue fescue grass

The Red Twig Dogwood

The trees were a beautiful sight with the sun shining on them

The icicle lights became icicles!

Double layer of icicles

Even icicles on the garden table

To walk anywhere outside was a challenge. It was very hard to walk on the ice. Scott took two spills.

On January 8th Scott started shaking the ice off the trees
