Holy crap! Lots of things happening!
-- First of all, the bad news: Johnny Goetchius has left the band. Seems like he just joined....

-- The good news: Dustin's back!!!

-- Tour dates! The Daddies are doing the Merit something-or-other tour. Seeing as it's sponsored by a cigarette company, it's most likely going to be 21+, but check and make sure before you give up completely. Here are the dates:

Minneapolis Friday May 19th The Quest
Milwaukie Sat. may 20th The Rave
Providence Fri. May 26th Lupo's
Buffalo Sat. May 27th The Trall

-- The finished up in the studio with Soul Cadillac and the album's being sent off to be mixed. December 13, 1999
-- The album is slowly chuggin' along. I think the recording stage is over with and they're starting the tracking and maybe even production.

-- Guess what! There's gonna be a single released before the album's out! YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! need...daddies...now...

-- Dan is now playing in a tango band on the side. *giggle* TANGO! Now, from my perspective, that's about as punk rock as you can get. Dan IS the man!

-- Johnny is recording with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones for their upcoming album. It's about time these guys came out with a new record! Maybe they're do a tour with the Daddies.......

-- Eileen Polk, who to my surprise is a resident of Eugene, will be doing the band's promo shot and some photos for the album. Eileen Polk photographed Sid and Nancy, among other early punk legends. And to think she lives in Oregon.... wow.

-- Dana is now a father! Apparently the little one is developing a hearty shit-eating grin. :-D

-- The official Daddies site is gonna be revamped completely and totally. Yay.

-- Soul Caddy, unfortunately, is not due out now until late spring. Take that to mean how you will.

-- Steve apparently got a new car. A '69 ocean blue Corvette, I believe.

-- Sad to say, Steve says the new album will NOT include "Pool Shark" *sniff* nor a whole lot of songs that we know.

-- The album is tentatively titled Soul Cadillac and is about halfway recorded. It's going to be a mixed up, weird record with a lot of different styles of music played with the soul and precision we've come to expect from our Daddies.

-- Soul Cadillac may contain "End of the Night" and maybe even a new version of "Irish Whiskey"!!!! He says they rerecorded it with a new drum break. Can't wait to hear it!

-- The Daddies also should be playing a bunch of shows in the Oregon area before they leave on tour again. Hopefully, they'll play some before the album comes out, but ya never know. Hope for November. :)
