So far, all the reasons for cloning humans have been inadequate and un-selfish reasons. People want to clone themselves so they can do less work and have fun, while the clone holds the responsibilities of life. This is an example of how many stupid people have been allowed to live. These people don't possibly think about this as SLAVERY. These people don't think about HUMAN RIGHTS. These people don't think about REBELLION. These people don't think about anything that is a reality; until it smacks them up-side the head with a 2x4. Look at Clinton- we were warned that he was a liar, he even admitted it. Even after he admits he lied, we still trust him. "It's just sex" they say. "It's his personal affairs and none of our business," they say. Well, listen here buckwheat- If he goes in front of the Senate, Congress, Supreme Court, and even the American people and LIES to all of us, regardless of the lie, how can we trust him? It just happens to be a personal affair. What if it were about a secret war that cost thousands of dollars and American lives? Would it be different? It shouldn't be. He lies about one thing; he'll lie about another. That's a fact. (OK back to the point)
Another "need" for cloning is so parents can clone their dead children. Dead children literally rose from the dead. And for what you might say? For the selfish reasons of the parents not being able to deal with the inevitable fate of life- death. They can have more kids. But they want that one child. It has something THEY want. What does the child get? The child is dead. The clone has no memories that the child had. Absolutely none. The child is cloned so that the parents can be selfish and raise the child that died. Look, I may sound a'bit cold, but death is an inevitable fate of life. I say "Why fear what you know will happen?" If you know it will happen, make the best of it. Enjoy every second of every day, so that when you die you will have truly lived, without any regrets.
I've even heard the other selfish reasons of doing it to "resurrect" the dinosaurs! Listen. The book and movie Jurassic Park* is a good example of reality. Even Disney World has security problems every now and then, but That was straight from the movie! Why do you think they didn't make that movie a wonderful adventure story, like "Land of the Lost", full of happiness and excitement, where it all turns out happy? The movie ends with the knowledge they messed up for the rest of us. I truly believe movies and books of science fiction topic are a warning to us, not a free idea to create that technology. Name a movie where an artificial intelligence can think, feel, and reason EXACTLY like a human can, where the AI doesn't try to exterminate us? There are NO movies like that. Even CP-30 and R2-D2 from Star Wars were programmed to be good.
The only good reasons I have ever seen for cloning are two un-selfish reasons in the very highest- cloning separate organs (not an entire body) and animals that because of US became extinct. We don't have enough donors to save lives. We live with the knowledge we have failed as the guardians of the planet Earth, the very least we can do is try to amend what we have destroyed. Cloning is a power that WILL be abused. "The test of a man is not so much that he can gain power, it is that he is not corrupted by it." That is one of my sayings, and I will stick by it until my death. Any selfish usage of power is a corruption of power. And most reasons for cloning (children, dinosaurs, new bodies to beat death, etc.) are selfish reasons. Life is too short to be selfish.
