 There is a new Dragon in the heavens!
Greetings my friends! I wanted to share some cool news with you all. Back in Januaray of 1998 I heard a radio advertisement from an organization called the International Star Registry. According to the commercial you could contact the organization and name a star. I thought this was a pretty cool thing. I called their phone number and they sent me a form to fill out and I mailed it back with a fee.So… on April 18, 1998 I had a star named after me. Through the International Star Registry, I was able to name a star, Arangast. *Great Big Grin *You receive a certificate (either framed or unframed, your choice) stating the details about when you named your star, what you named it, and it's co-ordinates. You receive a large star chart with the constellation your star is in highlited, and your star circled, so you know exactly which one. You are also registered in the International Star Registry's book of official star names, which is kept in a vault in Switzerland and your star name and co-ordinates are published in the copyrighted hardback volumes called "Your Place In The Cosmos" by James Edmund Magee. |
