PROVERBS IS A GREAT MANUAL OR INSTRUCTION BOOK TO TEACH US HOW TO LIVE WISELY AND SUCCESSFULLY

Chapter 1

THE WORD INSTRUCTION APPEARS OFTEN IN THE BOOK OF PROVERBS AND REFERS TO THE MORAL DISCIPLINE OF ONE'S LIFE

  2. What will God do if we ignore His counsel? ___HE WILL NOT ANSWER WHEN THEY CALL_ vs 26-29
  3. What happens to those who obey and hearken unto God? ____THEY WILL DWELL SAFELY WITHOUT FEAR___ vs 33

Chapter 2

  1. We should listen to __WISDOM___ and apply our __HEARTS_ to understanding. vs 3
  2. What two things are like silver and treasure? __KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING____ vs 4-5
  3. The Lord gives us __WISDOM__ and is a buckler (protector) to those who walk ___UPRIGHTLY__. vs 7
  4. He preserves the _WAY_ of His saints then they shall understand righteousness, __JUDGEMENT___ and equity; yes every good path. vs 8-9
  5. Discretion and understanding shall keep us and deliver us from the way of the evil _MAN_. vs 11-12
  6. The wicked shall be __CUT__off from the earth and transgressors shall be rooted _OUT_ of it. vs 22

Chapter 3

  1. What will be added to our lives if we keep God's commandments? __PEACE AND LONG LIFE__ vs 1-2
  2. What two things shall we bind around our necks and write upon our hearts? _MERCY AND TRUTH__ vs 3
  3. We should not trust our own understanding but trust in the ___LORD____. vs 5

THE WORD UNDERSTANDING MEANS THE CAPABILITY TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN TRUE AND FALSE, GOOD AND BAD WHAT DOES AND DOES NOT MATTER TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE

  1. If we acknowledge the Lord in all our ways, He will __DIRECT___ our paths. vs 6
  2. We must depart from evil, not be _WISE_ in our own eyes but fear the _LORD_. vs 7
  3. We should not be weary of the Lord's correction for "whom the Lord __LOVES_ He corrects." vs 12
  4. The man who finds wisdom and understanding is _HAPPY__. vs 13
  5. Wisdom and understanding is better than _SILVER__ and __GOLD_. And is more precious than _RUBIES_.vs 14-15
  6. We should not withhold __GOOD_ to someone when it is due when it is in our __POWER_ to do it. vs 27
  7. The _CURSE__ of the Lord is in the house of the wicked; but He blesses the house of the __JUST__. vs 33
  8. The wise shall inherit ___GLORY__ but shame shall be the promotion of __FOOLS__. vs 35

WISDOM IS THE KEY WORD OF THE BOOK OF PROVERBS (See I Corinthians 1:24 "...Christ is the power and wisdom of God.")
