Sunday: Riddle Reveal and the Last Raffle. "Yeah, the
snake room was a nasty fight." We managed to get all luggage and packages stowed away with enough time for a last lunch at Claddagh before the True Dungeon Riddle Reveal at the Marriott. I was actually feeling a lot better by the time we left the reveal, once I learned that there was no way, even on my best day, I was ever going to figure out the solution to the puzzle we missed that resulted in our demise. I won't spoil it for those going through at Gen Con So Cal, but be prepared for a tough, tough Dungeon. At the exhibit hall, we parted ways with Joe and Jake, who were out to explore Indy for the day, and we were down again to the fearsome foursome. We used our last hours at the convention for last-minute purchases and a demo of the upcoming D&D online game, which looks sweet, and would be a good opportunity to game with Todd again when it comes out. We also stopped back at the Wizards booth for the last in their series of raffles, the coveted prize being an AT-AT Walker model that would have looked perfect in our basement/gaming area, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. We encountered Rupert and a friend wandering the hall and bid goodbye to our Australian fighter extraordinaire, who promised to send us treasure tokens from down under, should we need them next year. =) At 3:00 it was
time to bid farewell to Todd so he could catch a plane back to
Colorado, and we were down to a trio. A last minute run through
the hall and three Starbucks coffees later, we were resting in
the Marriott lounge and bringing the convention to a close. We
pulled out of Indy a little after 4:00 p.m., agreeing that the
convention and the entire weekend had flown by far too fast...and
already planning our massive True Dungeon comeback for next year.
