RAW -- 2/21/10

Who will Booker T and Infinite Sexy choose to face at Wrestlemania?

The beginning of RAW started with a bang, as the 2009 Royal Rumble winner, Infinite Sexy, started the evening by strolling down the ramp. Fan speculation had been split on who Infinite Sexy was going to challenge at Wrestlemania. Would it be his current WWE Tag Team partner J-Lord, or would Infinite Sexy choose to rule along side his partner, allowing both members of De-Evolution to hold the reigns of power at WWE?

Infinite Sexy walked down the ramp, but instead walked around the ring and to the announcer's table. Infinite Sexy was scheduled to announce his selection for Wrestlemania, but first, he was the guest announcer for the first match. The opening match pitted Chris Jericho and his team of Big Show and 2010 Royal Rumble winner Booker T, against Edge and his partners, Christian and Tajiri. This would be a Captain's Fall match, so if either Jericho or Edge was pinned or submitted, his team would lose.

Right off the bat Infinite Sexy was prodded about his upcoming announcement.

"I don't want to give anything away just yet," Infinite Sexy replied. "Booker T also has to announce which title he will be going for at Wrestlemania, and I want all of the information available to me before I make my decision."

The match went poorly for Edge and his team. Edge's partners were clearly outmatched and struggled to take the offensive. Edge seemed shaky as well, as he was constantly beaten as the match progressed. After a few minutes it became apparent that Chris Jericho's team was clearly more dominant. Jericho took the opportunity to inflict additional pain on Edge and his teammates instead of just pinning the captain and ending the match.

"This is kind of what I expected," Infinite Sexy said, "if Jericho didn't have all of the odds in his favor, he wouldn't have agreed to the match. I swear, he is such a whiny baby now. He's damn lucky I'm not on Edge's team, as I would kick his ass, Booker T's ass, and even Big Show enormous ass. Jericho dodged a bullet on this one."

After Jericho finally finished off Edge, Booker T grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowd.

"I know you are all interested in knowing whose title I am going to be taking at Wrestlemania," Booker T began. "I'm not some pansy that sits behind an announcer's table and spends all day worrying about who will be easiest to beat. I'm a man of action. And at Wrestlemania, I will be challenging Infinite Sexy's tag team partner, J-Lord, for his World Heavyweight Title. And if someone knows what is good for him, he'll just stay the hell out my title match. Because if he doesn't," Booker T continued, "I'll be forced to take him down, too. Now can you dig that, sucka?" Booker T said, while staring down Infinite Sexy from the ring.

The next match pitted the much smaller tag team of RVD and Rey Mysterio against the Corporate Bastards in a cage match. This was an opening match of a round robin to determine who would go against the Dudley Boyz for their World Tag Team titles at Wrestlemania. Despite an enormous size and weight advantage (which always happens whenever Lump is involved), RVD and Rey Mysterio escaped victories, after allowing The Duncan to leave the cage and double teaming the incredibly Fat Lump.

In the first of two title defenses on RAW, George "The Animal" Steele put his Hardcore title on the line in a 6-man Hell In A Cell. In a complete surprise, the late addition to the match, A-Train, walked away with the championship. "The Animal" was quick to congratulate the new Hardcore Champion, and it appeared that there would be a new tag team in the making from that moment on. Finally, the evening's main event, a WWE Tag Team Title defense in a ladder match, pitted the Two-Man Power Trip (WWE Champion Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin) against defending champions, De-Evolution.

De-Evolution was the first to enter the ring, and they came down with their usual pop and swagger. Fans were already wondering if the tension of Infinite Sexy's Wrestlemania selection would end up affecting the team's abilities in the ring. Another factor was that Infinite Sexy would now be in the ring with both of his possible opponents at Wrestlemania, as J-Lord and Triple H were the current title holders.

De-Evolution appeared to take quick command of the match early on. However, something did appear to be slightly wrong with the pair, as a few early attempts by J-Lord to grab the belts were met with failure, as J-Lord couldn't seem to get the ladder stationed close enough to the title belts to secure them. This inability allowed the 2-Man Power Trip to make a comeback, wielding both the ladder and a metal chair against De-Evolution. Back and forth the match swayed, as De-Evolution could not keep the 2-Man Power trip on the mat and also could not get a firm grasp on the title belts.

In desperation, J-Lord attempted to take the ladder out of the ring to by him and his teammate some time. He was quickly met by Triple H, who knocked the World Champion down and brought the ladder back. With Infinite Sexy barely holding his own against Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H ascended the ladder and went for the belts. J-Lord regained his senses quickly enough to pull Triple H down and keep the match going.

In a change of strategy, J-Lord abandoned his attempts to grab the belts, and left this task to Infinite Sexy. Swinging a steel chair with extreme prejudice, J-Lord was able to fend off the challengers as Infinite Sexy pulled down the titles. A successful defense complete, both competitors collapsed to the mat. The night was not finished, however, as Infinite Sexy still had to announce his decision about whose title he would be challenging for at Wrestlemania. A weary and battered Infinite Sexy first addressed his equally weary teammate.

"J-Lord," Infinite Sexy began, "we've come a long way since we got our first start in WWE back in 2000. We started out as a couple of average wrestlers who struggled for our identities. It would be years before we truly made names for ourselves and started racking up championship titles. But for the last four years, together with you as one half of De-Evolution, we have dominated the WWE tag team division. And just think, it's possible for both of us to walk out of Wrestlemania 26 holding the WWE Tag Team Titles, as well as each of us having a World title around our waist. We could begin a new era in WWE history: The De-Evolution Era!" Infinite Sexy yelled as the crowd cheered.

"And you, Triple H," Infinite Sexy said as he turned to the WWE Champion, "I have a lot of respect for you as well. When I was coming up the ranks, I wanted my career to emulate yours. The way you rose to any challenge. The way you struck fear in your opponents and demanded respect from everyone in the locker room. And I figured that if I was even half the wrestler that you were, then I could be a WWE Hall of Famer," said Infinite Sexy as he slowly and methodically paced around Triple H.

"That's a good thing," Triple H said, as he ripped the microphone away from Infinite Sexy, "because you are only half the wrestler that I am." The audience began booing the WWE Champion, who simply scoffed and then laughed along with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Infinite Sexy appeared slightly amused as he grabbed the microphone away from Triple H.

"Really, Triple H?" Infinite Sexy asked, "because last I checked, this wrestler standing in front of you just whooped your sorry ass for the WWE Tag Team Championships. And there's a reason for that. See, J-Lord and I are the best of the best. You two were the greatest of your generation, but we are the best of ours. And I'm positive tha a match between you and me at Wrestlemania would be talked about for years to come. Every time a Wrestlemania Moment would be played on a WWE broadcast, it would end up showing parts of our match because it was just that damn good. And you know what else?" Infinite Sexy again asked, "I'm sure that everyone watching us right now would pay their hard earned money to see me kick your sorry ass again at Wrestlemania, too."

The crowd began to roar in agreement with Infinite Sexy as he and The Game bumped heads in the middle of the ring. Then, as the tension mounted, Infinite Sexy turned around and kicked his longtime tag team partner in the gut and delivered a devestating F-5 to the World Heavyweight Champion. Next he picked up the microphone, pointed to J-Lord, who was laying on the mat in anguish, and said: "So that's why, at Wrestlemania, I'll be taking your Heavyweight Championship."

Fans booed Infinite Sexy as he picked up the World Heavyweight Title from the mat and stared at it. Triple H and Stone Cold confidently walked up to the challenger and tapped him on the shoulder. As Infinite Sexy turned around, Stone Cold grabbed the wrists of Triple H and Infinite Sexy and held them in the air as if they had won a match, while each of them held the world titles in the air with their other hands.

The first RAW leading to Wrestlemania went off the air with a damaged J-Lord writhing on the mat, and the now "3-Man Power Trip" holding the gold in victory. How would J-Lord respond on Smackdown!? Would he even be healthy enough to respond? And how would Booker T and the rest of the WWE deal with the obvious shift in power, with three of WWE's biggest stars now working together...?
