Born and bred in the Northwest, this axeman began playing at an early age "until I got it right." Having his first successful musical attempt at the mere age of 19, playing the same stage as the big-dog guitar slingers before him, he kept a wall-sized poster of the event, "Most people collect trophies, I collect photographs." Poised on the edge of pop-experimentation, Charles is more relaxed than recent months, and is ready to go into the Great Wide Open.
Out of the ashes of the now defunct Messinger band, Charles founded Glimmer with
former Messinger singer, Po Galvan.
The two played scaled down acoustic shows and wrote together for more
than a year, culminating in the
debut of their new, full-on powerhouse band at Paris Theatre in
Portland on May 8th.
