PACIFIC STAR PRELIMINARY PAGEANT

Mandatory Division Winners: Each divisional winner will receive a tiara, banner, and $50.00 off mandatory registration fee for the 2002 Pacific Star National Pageant. Age division titles are based on the highest combined score from the mandatory events only.

Individual Event Winners: Each division will have one winner in each event that will receive a medallion.

Overall Event Winners: Each overall event winner will receive tiara, trophy and banner.

Mandatory Fee: $50.00 - Mandatory Competition includes:
Formal wear: Girls:Ages 12 months through 8 years – above the knee pageant or party dress; Ages 9 years and older – floor length dress or formal gown. Boys: All ages – suit or tuxedo. Modeling is straight T, Miss America style. Judging is based on poise (personality for 35 months and under), appearance, and overall stage presence. All divisions: No tights, gloves, hats, canes, parasols, or props of any kind. Hair and makeup should be kept age appropriate.

Contestant’s Choice: You choose the outfit or costume (must be in good taste) and you may provide the music. All music must be on a labeled and cued cassette tape. Tape is to be turned in at registration. Modeling is freestyle (vogue, straight T, etc.) with a two-minute time limit. Judging is based on originality, personality and overall appearance. Props are encouraged.

Photogenic: A 5x7 or 8x10 photo of the contestant must be submitted at pageant registration. Photo may be color or B & W and must be a headshot. Judging is based upon photogenic appeal, clarity, and overall appearance.

Optional Event Fee: $5.00 ea. - Optional Event includes:
Talent: Contestant will have a three-minute time limit to present their vocal or variety talent. All background music must be on a cued and labeled cassette tape. Tape is to be turned in at registration. The pageant will provide a hand held microphone (stand if needed) and cassette player, they will not provide any props and/or musical instruments. Headset microphones WILL NOT be allowed. Judging is based on talent ability, stage presence and appearance, and overall showmanship. You must enter the mandatory events to enter talent.

Portfolio: This is a collection of 5x7 or 8x10 photos of the contestant, which is to be organized in an album or folio. There must be at least 5 photos and no more than 15. Contestant must be the only person in the photos, and there cannot be any pictures with crowns and/or banners. Portfolio is to be turned in at pageant registration. Judging is based on variety, personality and photogenic appeal.

Pageant Entry Deadline: Three days prior to competing pageant date. An additional $10.00 fee will be assessed if registering at the door, or if entry is received after pageant deadline.

I hereby release 5 Star Pageant Productions, Pacific Star, the host hotel/motel and/or any said affiliates from any responsibility for any loss due to damages, thefts, or accidents of any kind, prior to, during, or following said event(s), or while in travel.
