| Here is a collection of my favorite
writings. "Dawn" was written by a mother for her daughter and my
friend, in hopes that it would help with a personal journey. Given
to me, about 4 years ago, it was written on an old worn out piece of
paper, carefully folded over. My friend said: "It's worn out but
the words have the same impact. This poem, has served its purpose
when mom gave it to me. Now I'm passing it so that it can do the
same for you.". Ironically, the name of the poem is the name of
the writer, and the daughters name is Joy.

"If" by Rudyard Kipling. I've
heard different reactions from many people to this poem. Some felt
it to be harsh, some felt it promoted doing nothing, and many have
expressed admiration for it and said that they received it from their
fathers and or have passed it on to their children. In all cases
the reaction was a strong one.

The following poem is called "Forgiveness" I have found it somewhere on the web and failed to note the author. At some point I will need to find it again so I can give proper credit. A long time ago, I had wished for forgiveness from someone else...today, forgiveness is in me, for me, and others.

I found this piece on growing pains rather profound. Written by philosopher Khalil Gibran, this poem has a way of speaking directly to your soul, no matter where you are in life.
