-Former Hardcore Champion turned Heavyweight, Hardcore Holly has requested that the WWF come up with a storyline so that he and B.B. could be on television together. The WWF is considering sending B.B. to Memphis to work on her mic skills as a favor to Holly, since he's stuck with the company for years. For those of you wondering Hardcore Holly and BB are a couple in real life. - TRISH STRATUS TO APPEAR ON HeAT, SUNDAY, MARCH 19, 2000! MAKE SURE YOU WATCH IT! - On March 13, 2000, the WWF took center stage with their next installment of RAW is WAR, a show which is basically projected to be one like last week, in that it will merely function to progress all storylines in a smooth fashion. As always, the expected return of at least one WWF competitor is rumored, but as of now nothing concrete that indicates anything of the such is given to happen. I don't know how to stress this more, but the East Rutherford RAW tonight is actually the THIRD last one before the big PPV on April 2, and so common sense would seem to imply that the "big stuff" won't go down for another week or so. - DirecTV has come out with one of their famous Monday previews and the general gist of what they preview for tonight's show generally deals with advancement of both the Rock's road to Wrestlemania 2000 as well as the ongoing McMahon power struggle, featuring Shane and Stephanie. I suppose DirecTV's statement of "a desperate Rock does desperate things" offers a glimmer of a hope of a possible shake-up for Wrestlemania, but as I outlined above, I wouldn't count on anything drastic going down. The Stephanie-Shane ordeal is a very interesting one to discuss. The two McMahon siblings first collided full steam ahead as both seemed unwilling to back down from running the show, but soon thereafter, almost aligned as one. However, tension may again be strained after their respective wrestlers, Triple H and The Big Show, always seem to be at odds with one another. Both The Rock's situation and that of the McMahons seem to point to a return by Vince McMahon sooner or later, possibly by integrating everything into one - reclaiming power from his son and daugther as well as helping The Rock get to his Wrestlemania date for the title. - The latest in the news regarding possible movement of WWF programming away from the USA network reveals that the chances of such a move happening are higher than it not happening. CBS is still the front-runner in the sweepstakes to land RAW and other programs and as of last note, has offered a $100+ million equity take-over that would also see them re-name TNN (The Nashville Network) into something more fitting for the WWF's needs. They would also then build the rest of the programs on that show around the WWF's centrally themed shows. Furthermore, CBS would also surely be airing XFL either on their main station or another affiliate as well as promote both the league and the wrestling promotion on all their media outlets. Smackdown would remain on the Viacom/CBS owned UPN network. It is important to note however, that this is simply the rumored package that CBS execs are likely to present to the WWF and it is still unclear whether it will even be accepted or revised. In any case, even if everthing was to the WWF's liking, nothing can go into effect until atleast September 2000, which is when USA loses the rights to RAW, HeAT, etc. Also likely to be playing a factor is that USA has the right to match any offer the WWF receives and it is expected they will exhaust all their efforts in doing so. If RAW were to leave, USA would be left with a HUGE void on Monday nights. There is also the issues of CBS censorship on WWF programming to discuss and the very important fact that the WWF doesn't need to sell ALL their programming to just one network. They can mix and match and strike deals with as many stations as they want. There's a lot left uncovered in this story, and I'll keep with the updates now until something certain happens. -After four straight successful albums of wrestler entrance themes the World Wrestling Federation will venture into a new era of audio releases as Method Man, Redman, Snoop, and Run DMC have all agreed to produce songs for a upcoming album entitled, Raw. Injury Report
- The British Bulldog suffered a leg and back injury while the car he was apparently changing a tire on slipped off the jack. The Bulldog, however, should be back in action by next week.
- The Big Bossman is recovering from a cuncussion, and will be back by January 3rd.
- D'Lo Brown suffered a hairline fracture in his shoulder blade last Thursday and will miss either a few days or few weeks, depending on the results of an MRI.
- Matt Hardy is recovering well from his cheekbone injury and could be back in action anytime now. He has been wrestling at WWF house shows, and he looked a lot better on Smackdown than on RAW, as the bruise on his face definitely went down.
- Mark Henry has also been suffering from an elbow injury, which he will undergo an MRI on this week to determine the nature of. JR says that the injury may require surgery, depending on the MRI.
- Stone Cold Steve Austin has been working out in preparation for his surgery on January 11, which sadly, could determine whether or not he will be able to return to the ring. We all wish the Rattlesnake the best of luck in the surgery, and hopefully he'll be able to return to WWF television, as he has surely been missed.
- And remaining on the subject of the many WWF injuries, Jim Ross says that the Undertaker is doing very well healing from his many injuries, the worse being a torn abdominal muscle and groin tear, and could even be back by the Royal Rumble. That ought to get a few extra orders for the WWF's ppv. JR also states that the Undertaker has gained a few pounds, and is up to about 330 lbs, but should be back down to about 310-315 by his return.
