Author:  Deepak Chopra MD
Publisher:  Harmony Books/Crown Publishers
ISBN:  0-609-6007-X

"After a general discussion of parenting and the gift of spirit, this book explores the specific ways to practice the 7 laws, and how to convey these laws to children depending on their ages, and how to embody them in age-specific activities each day.  A best seller and one which your entire family will enjoy.

PERFECT PARENTING & KID COOPERATION                                                              ****

Author:  Elizabeth Pantley
Publisher:   Contemporary Books
ISBN:   0-8092-2847-5

"Few publications on parenting within the nuclear family offer insightful advice regarding stepfamilies.  Perfect Parenting and Kid Cooperation, both by Elizabeth Pantley, are perfect examples of the exception to that rule.   Both offer a fountain of 'can-do" advice that is not only practical, but respectful of parents, and children alike.  We have already applied several of her helpful suggestions in our stepfamily - and they REALLY  work!   We recommend both publications, along with the video on Kid Cooperation.   They will help you respond to your children, rather than reacting to them."

Author:  Cherie Burns
Publisher:   Time Books/Random House Inc.
ISBN:  0-8129-1145-8

"We would highly recommend this book to all women who are contemplating entering into a stepfamily unit, and to those having now       passed through the 'fantasy stage'.  Also contains advice from husband/wife counselling team, Emily and John Visher, who are also  step-parents.  Easy to read with excellent examples."
