Taking a break, Higashiyama Park Nesters prepare for Baby Ona's arrival

[October 27] Baby Ona might come any time now. He is due to arrive November 14 but chances are he might come earlier than expected.

Final prepa- rations are underway for his arrival. Erwin, for his part has been busy these past few weeks rearranging things in the house to have more space to put in baby's things. He's also been putting in more working hours at his lab so he can find more time to stay with Connie and Baby when the BIG day comes.

Connie, on the other hand, trained Erwin on household chores. This can come in handy while Connie stays in the hospital for a week or so. She also painstakingly prepared a list of baby things which they requested RP and US folks to buy. On top of these, she also had a haircut recently, one which can be fixed in a jiffy so she can have more time for taking care of Baby and the household.

Together, they have also been practicing breathing exercises and reading a lot of information on pre- and post-natal care.

Family and friends have also contributed much to make things easier for the will-be parents. Special thanks is due to Asada-San, their landlady who offered a room for Erwin's mother to stay in during her one-month stay in Nagoya (see next week's news) and to Horimoto-San who has been helping them out in countless ways.
