Y-Adventure Princess Program

Purpose: The purpose of the Father and Daughter YMCA Adventure Princess Program is to foster the understanding and companionship of father and daughter.

Pledge: "We, Father and Daughter, through friendly service to each other, to our family, to this tribe, to our community, seek a world pleasing to the eye of the Great Spirit.

Slogan: Friends Forever!

Aims: To be clean in body and pure at heart.
            To be Friends Forever with my Dad/Daughter.
            To love the sacred circle of my family.
            To be attentive while others speak.
            To love thy neighbor as thyself.
            To seek and preserve the beauty of the Creator's work in forest, field, and stream.

 

We need the help of our membership to make our organization financially stronger, so we can continue to provide the quality events and outings back to our dads and daughters. Your Group leader will be contactinq vou all with complete details on what has to be done and asking you to volunteer your time to help make the Blackhawk Y-Adventure Princesses a more enjoyable experience for your daughter and you !

The Story of the YMCA Adventure Princess Headband

The central theme of the headband is the sign of the eye of the Creator with the crossed arrows of friendship on the left side and the circle heart of love on the right side. The symbols for father and daughter are next to their habitats, which indicate happy work in the community, and the single habitat, which denotes happy work in the home. The trees, water, and grass exhort the wearer to see and preserve the Creator's beauty in forest, field and stream.
