American Revolution Everyday Dress

Above is an outfit that would have been worn by ordinary people during the American Revolution.  I did a few variations on the pattern, as I found out my original pattern was not completely accurate.  I used Beth Gilgun's Tidings From the 18th Century.  This book is recommended by many re-enactors for its historical accuracy.  This outfit is made of cottons as it's typically what most women re-enactors use.  Any period correct fabric is acceptable but due to the costs, most of people stick to the cottons.
