Phantom of the Opera Costume

 

                       

 

         The Phantom of the Opera started my love of costume.   I really attribute where I am today to first seeing the phantom in 1991.  This was first costume I ever made.  It is worn by the heroine Christine in Act I,  Scene I of the show.  The costume is also used in Scene 2-6 with various costume additions.  One  of those variations can be seen on this picture of me.

 

                       

 

         This photograph was taken Halloween of 1993, although the costume itself was made the year before.  Back in my early days of costume I had two other attempts at phantom costumes.  Unfortunately there were no photographs taken and the costumes themselves have since been destroyed in some way, shape or form.
