This picture is a mini sculpt of what I hope my end product/piece to look like.

These are my mini sculpts of how I want my lil dog to look like.

These pictures here show the start of my sculpture after I have created my Marquette and armature. My sketch page shows how I have looked at photos of my sculpture, seen where there were faults and corrected them.

These are my final sculpts of my dog. I only created one ear because u can turn it around and it looks the same on the other side and saves time on making more moulds etc. I have used grog clay for this and a sponge to smooth it all and am very happy with the end result.

This is the first time I have worked with J-foam so I wasn't sure how it worked but through trial and error I have managed to find the right mixture for my dog. I have 2 heads that were either too wet or dry and then only half the head would come out correctly, but this is all part of the fun. Before this I made a mould from plaster and found out after I had dug it all out that u can use water to split the moulds apart which I did do for the ears. (so much easier)

I only used about 4 layers of Latex and found it has worked really well and that the whole dog is nice and squishy all over. All I need now is to research what paints work best on latex so I will be looking at colour and textures. I also want to start looking at making him hollow so I can make his ears animate and use pumps of air to make his tongue move... all very exciting... The next step which is even more fun is the eyes which I will be learning next year unless I find some stuff on the net to play around with.

College work with sculpt for an animation.
