Part 4- Giving In
By Meter
The three finally made it back to the Junkyard. There hey were greeted by the teenyboppers.
“Tuggy!” Etcetera screamed, running up to him and hugging him tightly.
“Etcetera, please leave Tugger alone. We are in a hurry!” Munkustrap told her. Etcetera apologized and scampered back to her friends. They barely took a step when Mistoffelees appeared in front of them.
“Welcome back. How did it go?”
“Well we have good and bad news.” Demeter replied.“The good news is that we’ve rescued Demeter, as you can see…” Munkustrap said.“…
And the bad news?” Misto asked looking around, for there was no sign of Bombalurina. “Where’s Bomba?”
“That’s the bad news. We were almost out of the lair, when Macavity came out of nowhere and grabbed her,” Munkustrap replied.
Meanwhile, back at the lair…
Macavity carried Bombalurina to a part of his lair that only he and some of trust worthy rats knew about. He took her to a room that he used for special purposes. He threw her in then entered himself. “We are finally alone. Now give what I want or pay the price.”
“I will never come back, Macavity!” Bomba spat.
“Fine have it your way. Patch…” Macavity called for his best henchcat.
“Yes, Macavity?” Patch bowed low to his leader.
“Prepare for the special event.” Macavity grinned evilly.
“Yes, sir.” Patch left the room.
“What are you going to do?” Bombalurina asked.
“Oh, you’ll find out soon enough, my dear.” Macavity rubbed her cheek. She quickly turned her head. Patch finally returned.
“Macavity, we are ready.” Patch announced.
“Good!” Macavity said rubbing his paws together. “Bring her.” Macavity said and left the room. Patch motioned for Bombalurina to follow Macavity, which she did. Patch followed her to make sure she didn’t try to get away. Macavity had led her to his “throne” room, or that’s what he called it. There was a type of ring set up in the middle of the room. In the middle of the ring, there was a set of shackles (shackles are a type of chain with cuffs at one end) attached to the ground. Macavity turned to Bombalurina. “Maybe this will change your mind.”
“I doubt it!” She said under her breath.
“BRING HER OUT!” Macavity shouted to his guards. Two guards came out with another cat.
Back at the Junkyard…
Munkustrap, Rum Tum Tugger, and Demeter went to talk to Old Deuteronomy.
“Old Deuteronomy, may we speak with you?” Munkustrap asked the Jellicle leader.
“Yes, what is it that you need to speak to me about?” Old Deuteronomy asked in his deep voice.
“It’s about Macavity,” Demeter said.
“I see. I’ve heard that he’s been causing trouble lately.” Deuteronomy said.
“Yes, well to get straight to the point,” Munkustrap said, “We went to save Bombalurina and Demeter. We got to them and we were almost out but Macavity grabbed Bombalurina before we could save her.”
“ We really need to save her before he forces her to do something that she’ll regret,” Demeter said.
Old Deut nodded. He looked at Tugger who had remained silent throughout the whole conversation. “Tugger what is wrong?”
Tugger snapped back to reality, “I’m sorry, I’m afraid that I might lose her, if we don’t act quickly.” Tugger had realized how much Bomba meant to him. She wasn’t just one of his loyal fans, she liked him for who he was and not for how he looked. Well she liked him for that too, but she really understood him. He would forever regret it if he lost her.
Demeter went over to Tugger and tried to comfort him. “Tugger you won’t lose her, we’ll go back to his lair and get her back.”
Tugger perked up and gave Dem a hug. “Demeter’s right we have to go back and get her.”
“Tugger, are you sure you want to go? If not I will take Alonzo with me,” Munkustrap asked him.
“I’m sure, I won’t lose her to him.” Tugger said determined to get her back.
“Dem, I want you to stay here.” Munku told her.
“I will. You two be careful.” Dem said and nuzzled him. “Good luck.” Tugger and Munkustrap left for their last journey to Macavity’s lair.
Meanwhile in the Throne room…Bombalurina looked at the cat that they had brought in.
“METER!” she yelled. “Let her go, you have no use for her.”
Macavity laughed, “Why I’m not going to use her for anything, she betrayed me. So she will be put to death. Begin the execution.” Macavity told his guards. They chained Meter to the center of the ring. One by one, the guards attacked her. Bombalurina couldn’t stand the torture that they were giving her cousin.
“STOP! Please Macavity, I’ll do anything just let her go. Please!”
“Become my mate, and I’ll let her go.” Macavity grinned.
“Fine, anything, just let her go.” Bomba pleaded.
“Bomba no don’t do it. I’m not worth saving.” Meter cried out to Bomb.
“No, I have to do this.” Bomba turned to Macavity. “Please let her go.”
“Guards, release her.” Macavity dismissed his guards. “Now my dear. I believe we have some catching up to do.” Macavity said and took her paw.
