Audrey Hepburn Memorable Quotes:  From Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)   "WE'RE ALIKE, ME AND CAT. A COUPLE OF POOR NAMELESS SLOBS."   IT SHOULD TAKE YOU FOUR SECONDS TO WALK OUT THAT DOOR, I'LL GIVE YOU TWO."   "I'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE WAY I LOOK. I MEAN A GIRL JUST CAN'T GO TO SING SING WITH A GREEN FACE."   From How to Steal a Million (1966)   "WELL, IT WAS PITCH DARK AND THERE HE WAS. TALL, BLUE EYES, SLIM, QUITE GOOD LOOKING... IN A BRUTAL, MEAN WAY, PAPA A TERRIBLE MAN."   From Love in the Afternoon (1957)   "THEY'RE VERY ODD PEOPLE YOU KNOW. WHEN THEY'RE YOUNG, THEY HAVE THEIR TEETH STRAIGHTENED, THEIR TONSILS TAKEN OUT AND GALLONS OF VITAMINS PUMPED INTO THEM. SOMETHING HAPPENS TO THEIR INSIDES. THEY BECOME IMMUNIZED, MECHANIZED, AIR CONDITIONED AND HYDROMATIC. I'M NOT EVEN SURE WHETHER HE HAS A HEART."   From Roman Holiday (1953)   "DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SLEEP WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON AT ALL."   "I'VE NEVER BEEN ALONE WITH A MAN BEFORE, EVEN WITH MY DRESS ON. WITH MY DRESS OFF, IT'S MOST UNUSUAL."

Edda Kathleen van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston, was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1929. Her parents divorced and she moved to Holland with her mother. Under the Nazi occupation of Holland, Audrey suffered from depression and malnutrition. After the war, Audrey went into modeling and was discovered by a European film producer. It was Roman Holiday that launched her success in the United States. Audrey was married and divorced twice and had two sons. Between 1988-1993 she served as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund. Her last film role, in 1989, was playing 'Hap' in Steven Spielberg's Always.

I would have to say her best film work came from playing Holly Golightly in 1961's Breakfast at Tiffany's.
