Second, they are going to do an activity which involves, cutting and pasting. Third, they are teacher is going to share personal pictures of different times of the seasons, and finally, they are going to end the day by measuring the temperature outside with a thermometer
  5. ANTICIPATORY SET:
  6. Dress up for a certain type of season, then read a poem which has to do with the season you are dressed up as, and then ask for volunteers to guess which season it is that you are trying to tell them of.

Ask questions regarding what they have just learned.Example:In the fall, should you take swimming lessons or should you be buying rain coats?orIn the summer, should you turn on your heater or the air conditioner? These questions will help to reinforce what they have just learned.
  1. GUIDED PRACTICE:
  2. Provide magazines, newspapers, and store advertisements to the students from which they can cut out:toys, clothing and accessory pictures, necessary for the different seasons of the year. Assign five groups, with the group names of: Summer, Spring, Fall, Autumn, Winter. Tell them you want five posters, one from each group with the seasonal changes in each one. Move around the room and provide help as needed. Play a musical tape which reinforces the seasons of the year and it's weather changes.
  3. CLOSURE:
  4. Reinforce major points to be learned, clarify any confusion. Tell them it's about time to start wrapping it up, to clean their tables, then play the tape one more time. After they are done cleaning, show them the thermometer, give a short definition of what it is and what is used for, and read them the temperature inside the room. Take them outside and have a volunteer read the temperature outside the room. You can make this a weekly routine, if you wanted to.
  5. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE:
  6. Assign them to go into the internet and find the weather for their own city with the help of their parents, also ask them to bring pictures of them in the different seasons of the year to put up on the display boards. And if they don't have any, then assingn them to draw a picture of their favorite season.
