Norman Smiley was stripped of the Hardcore title on the September 27,
2000 edition of WCW Thunder (taped 9/26/00) in Wilkes-Barre, PA by acting
commissioner Mike Sanders due to Smiley being inactive too long. A tournament was held that night to crown a new champ. The finalists faced off on Nitro, 10-2-00. (Thanks to readers Alex and Zeus). |
