After Good-bye

She caresses his face

With strands of her long dark hair;

Soft swirling strokes

Will this be the last time she shares her secrets with him.

Moon light fills their eyes; a last good-bye

Though the oceans will soon separate them,

Silent tears speak of tomorrow's kisses

They will dream of each other when they're apart,

And they will dream of each other when they're together again,

In each others arms...

But still a world apart

After many years of sadness

Sadness ever since their last good-bye

Now she only has a glimmer of fading hope,

Will she see her love again...

Time can only tell

But they will dream of being together,

Together in the future

How do I know,

Because that girl was me

And those tears are still mine,

And my love's...
