Greetings from Mill Pond Elementary in Lacey Township!! We are a 6th grade Science class working on this project. We are located in central New Jersey at 47 Latitude and 74 Longitude. We receive an average of 47 inches of rainfall each year. We have 4 distinct seasons: in the Winter, the temperature averages 32 degrees, in the spring 50 degrees, summer 73 degrees (although it gets much hotter: most days are in the 80's or 90's), and our fall is cool, averaging 45 degrees.

We have no computers linked to the internet in our classrooms yet, but once a week, we have Internet Research class, where there are 30 computers connected to the internet.

We have been studying Solar Energy for almost a month now, and this project that one of the students, Vienne Z., discovered, directly ties into our studies. It would be interesting to learn how other parts of the world experience the Sun as well. We also look forward to communicating via theInternet with other schools.
