Tom Petty There is no way in the world that I am ever taking that quote off my website. Well, maybe when I've graduated and I don't need it anymore... By then I might not even have this page, so we'll see. August/04 - So here's me, another year older, none the wiser, a little bit more sane (NOT) and extremely bored. And what do we do when we're bored? Say it with me now! "Update the webpage!" ding ding ding!! woohoo you win! But I don't have a prize... sorry. I ran out. But yah! I'm 20 now! How crazy is that? I don't feel older. In fact, after my birthday, I felt younger. It was weird. Just seems like everyone's getting older so fast, we're all racing to grow up. I don't want to. I quite enjoy being this age! Wouldn't mind stayin at 21 tho, then I could still go to the states and get drunk and stuff. haha! oiy... But anyways, I had a blast on my birthday. Aaron (big hugs) threw me a surprise party and Kristin (big hugs!) came down and we went to a concert in Toronto at Olympic Island. It was SHWEET - Death from Above, Arcade Fire, Buck 65, Broken Social Scene, Constantines, Pilate, The Stills, Sam Roberts and Sloan all in one day! Met a few people (go figure they were only 18, but they were cool kids) and had a blast. I don't have all of those pictures scanned yet, but I'll let you know when I do. I DO have pictures of my birthday scanned (somewhat - more to come) but only of me! haha But that's all that matters right? Not... i've got some from bowling on my birthday that still need to be developed, so once they're back, you'll be able to see them too. I haven't written anything for a while, summer's been too much of a drag to be inspiring. I worked full time at the campus this year (I'm a SPARK writer - Students Promoting Awareness of Research Knowledge - pretty much means I'm a student journalist) and it's been taking all of my days. I don't go out much at night because everyone I want to hang out with lives out of Guelph in the summer. Aaron came to see me lots, though, that was nice. I appreciated it!!! I did play some more soccer this summer, but the girls who took pictures haven't sent them to me yet. I'll get on that! Had a kick ass team this summer, tho man! haha All of the international students were on my team, and we dominated the season! Completely undefeated!!! it was pretty sweet. I'm going to miss everyone that played. We got along well! This semester is going to keep me busy tho, that's for sure - 4 in class courses, one distance ed course, 3 intramural teams, a play and a whole lotta reading to do in 4 months. It's gonna take up all of my time! But I'd rather be busy than bored, and hopefully it'll help me keep my mind focused on what's most important - getting my grades up (again). It means I won't have much time for me, or for a significant other for that matter, but that might not be a good idea anyway. Who knows!
