Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

.

As I said in my review of Sorcerer's Stone, it took the bookstore a long time to find Chamber of Secrets. They said they had it in, but they must have sold out of it, but! Lo and behold, they found it!

I read it immediately. Again, I was lost in Harry's world, feeling as if I was there, like an unseen observer or ghost. I read about him as he flew through the night and early dawn with the Weasley's in their flying car with Uncle Vernon red faced as if I was in the car with them, Harry spinning around and through gnomes into the bushes and I felt as if I was doing to same, following the train over the countryside and I felt as if I was in the backseat, looking on.

As you read this book, you feel Harry's emotions, as if you are him. Feeling embarrassment from being Gilderoy's snatched pet; annoyance toward Peeves; confusion toward the people who stared at him after he yelled at the snake; anger toward Malfoy and Tom Riddle.

It is quite obvious, as we go along in Harry's adventures, despite this book only being the second in seven, that the stories will get more mysterious, darker, bloodier, and deadlier, but despite this, we all must admit that this book is historical.
