Also in 1996 the boys were voted Best International Group by German TV viewers. Their single, "I'll Never Break Your Heart" went gold there, and topped the charts in Austria as well.
At the Smash Hits awards, the boys walked away with a whopping five awards: best album and best album cover fo Backstreet's Back, best video for "Everybody," best international band, and a special award to Nick for best male haircut! (AJ was also nominated)
