The Western Slabs Access: Route G
Approach: From Pilon Road, go N.W. along the base of the escarpment.
Character: Lots of rock hereabouts; the biggest expanse is immediately
to the right of an obvious cart track cutting up the escarpment.
The track leads to a whole network of trails in one of the prettiest
parts of the park. Well worth explorinq. The hillside at the end of
Pilon Road contains lots of small rock faces above an extensive scree
field. Hidden away in all the rock is a delightful, easy (5.0) chimney.
