THE NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: EDUCATOR ENFORCERS & SUPPORTERS OF THE 1ST AND 5TH AMENDMENTS?

OR,

THE NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE IMPACT

The accountings in this section were very carefully assessed and compiled to the best of my ability so to convey the truth of the circumstances that occurred contextually and accurately as I experienced same from my point of view. I believe they deserve investigation by the public and law enforcement.

The letters,(Which See letter 1, letter 2), included in this section are self explanatory. However, I have included a composite version, (Which See), of the two letters I sent to North Central College so to put the insertions noted in the second letter in proper order in the first letter for convenience and ease of reading.

The letters are formatted close to what the originals were excepting the color enhancements I have included, again, for ease of reading.

"The man", mentioned elsewhere in this site, was given copy of these letters as well as the North Central College Statement of Acceptable Use of Information Technologies. He said he read same as it was included in the Dorta court file I gave him in approximately the Fall of 1998 thinking he was a sensitive, objective and fair and trustworthy person. When he got back to me after he said he read same he left me with the feeling I had imposed on him saying also that he had no "connections" that could help me with same scenarios.

A Naperville Police Department detective contacted me in follow up of the North Central College scenario. In our conversation he imparted to me that people use their personal software all the time at the college library. I was led to believe he was impartially evaluating the college's "complaint". He also, by the way, gave me a copy of the letter from the college (Which See), that forbade my accessing the campus and its facilities in the future.

The letter from the college, in response to my prior two letters, was not sent to me via the method and avenues I had explicitly requested in my letters. Resultantly, it was sidetracked in the return mail loops, if returned at all, which was the norm due to the mail interference experienced especially at the Naperville Young Men's Christian Association and the United States Post Offices especially in Lemont and Bolingbrook, Illinois. Same letter from the college was not received until weeks after my first letter.

It is interesting to note that the college did not follow my congenial, expeditious and simple instructions as to how to get mail communications to me! It is further interesting to note, again, how the college wanted to involve the police by giving a copy to them and my finding about same letter via receipt of same from the police department detective. Notably interesting was the NO Trespassing admonition that I did not timely receive! Were college personnel trying to let me fall into a trespass scenario with them by delaying my receipt of their letter? Were college personnel trying to compound my credibility issues in my Dorta trespass suit? It is fortunate that I did not access their property as a matter of my policy prior to their response to my letters to them!

As you will note, their letter was terse, callous, unfriendly and highly biased in comparison to my communications. The letter's admonition was certainly an act that was imparted to me with the thought that it would never get around the community. The way I was treated by same college suggested that I was a "nonentity" that they would not have to worry about especially as far as their public relations and reputation was concerned, a clear insult.

It is also very interesting to note that the college's actions in the library occurred the very day that the Assistant Public Defender Ron Fraley took his pot shots defaming me before the court prior in the morning. As you will note in the Dorta case, I was being railroaded into a criminal trespass conviction in which I am still being prevented from addressing same on appeal. It is clear to me that college personnel knew what was going on in the Dupage Court house with my case. It is clear that their letter suggesting criminal trespass if I entered their property was not coincidence.

It is also clear that the college's preventing me from using their Law Library section was their real intent so to prevent me from properly researching my Dorta case and doing same cost effectively and time efficiently. Since I was running a business and trying to pay my bills timely in a deficit scenario in which I believe they were quite aware, the college clearly was not cooperative with reasonable use and requests.

Consider the facts and look at the numbers, the only other reasonably accessible law libraries were available in Wheaton at the Dupage County Complex and at the law schools and Cook County Law Library in downtown Chicago. Same cost between seven and ten dollars minimally to timely commute round trip via public transportation that was my only alternative to bicycling. Any way you look at the circumstances, the college clearly wanted to interfere with my reasonable use of their facilities, which would have given me better leverage to win in the Dorta case. It could conceivably be construed as deliberate interference with my court activities and deadlines, which included getting to court on time! Look at the domino effect here folks!

Finally, for now, it is interesting to note that since the above noted episodes I have had the opportunity to interface in a friendly way with a number of North Central Students and Graduates. Same have shared my concern, shock and empathy with the way I was and am being treated by North Central College! Some said in effect there is an attitude and credibility problem at the college especially in light of its Methodist foundational roots.

Enough for now, I'll be back on this one later!......
