I stood with Mulder in the charcoled office for about a half an hour,then I dropped him off and went to the only place I had to turn,my moms.By the time I knocked on her door,I was crying heavily.
"Dana,honey,what's wrong?"she said,letting me in.
"I need to talk."I said,as she sat on the couch and I started pacing the living room in front of her.
"I'm listening honey."
"They...They burned our work tonight,mom.I just wanted him to hold me,tell me he loved me,but no!!!....I'm so sick of Diana's,and Bambi's and Detective Whites!And Kristen Kilars and Pheoebe Greens!....But what really pisses me off is just when I was about to have Mulder completely and totally,Diana showed up!And Detective White and her damned perfume!!...I've stood up for him to congress,and the board of directors even when I was on the verge of dying,I lied for him and schemed with him...Not because I had to,but because I loved him!!...I lossed Missy for him,and mom,I'm truly sorry...I've gotten cancer,had a daughter taken me,my right to even *have* children taken!....And damned Melissa Eipstien with her damned soulmate!I'm his soulmate!Can't he see that?No,my job is to be his protector and caregiver,never his love....I sit and wonder,does he lust after me like I do for him??...Once,after they first seperated us,he tolded me when I followed him to Puerto Rico,that he'd be ok because he had himself,his work and *me*!!.....I followed him to the damned Artic on another damned lead for that sister of his!....When Ahab died ,he was there for me..I acted like he had killed himself for him!..He was there for me in the hospital,he got the chip that cured me...I thought he loved me!....When I was in a coma after the abduction,I came back because of him..It was the strength of his beliefs and *love* that saved me!..I need him so much,and I'm too stubborn to admitt it!!"she said,sinking onto the couch next to her mother.
"Oh,my baby girl,he does love you.When you were missing,he thought it was too early to give up,but I got a tombstone...I don't blame you for Missy,if God wanted her to live and have a full recovery,she would of...He does love you honey,he really does..."

After Scully dropped him off at his house,he needed to walk.It was about midnight so he decided to go for a walk near the reflective pool.He sat on the bench,just thinking out into the water.It would be ok,he had all the files on disks,as did the LoneGunMen,it was a good thing part of him was paranoid.
He heard footsteps.He looked up,He could see a woman,shorter then Scully,but same color hair except it was as long as Scully's had been on the first case.She was wearing a black peacock coat that was like a dress that had big buttons coming down the front,the coat ended just above the young woman's ankles.Her hair was in a large beret,but it only cover the top of her head.You could see she was wearing black leggings,and you could see her eyes were big and hazel.
"Hi,is this seat taken?"she said,coming and sitting next to Mulder.
"Hello,no,sit."
"You're Special Agent Fox Mulder,right?Your partners Dana Scully,right?"
"Yes,why?"she dug in her pocket and pulled out an envelope.
"You don't know me,but my grandfather knew you and he told me to look after you after he died,and to give you what you needed when Brock wouldn't."
"Who's your grandfather?"
"I think you know,Mr Mulder,but my name is Alexandra Princeton,but he's my maternal grandfather,so that gives you nothing.Unlike your other leaks,I'm not in any danger,but I just like black,my only danger is getting grounded for sneaking out..."she said,smiling.
"What do you have?"
"Your partner had her ova's removed when she was taken.Shortly before Emily's death,about 4 months earlier,in August,her ova's were taken again and another child was created.The child was born about 1 months ago.Go to the address on the envelope and ask for baby DKS-dash-2-dash-@(at)-dash-DC.Got it?"
"Yes,thank you,how can I contact you?"he asked,taking the envelope.
"I'll contact you,but if you ever get desperate,I mean,*really* desperate,I go to St.Marys,and I get out at 3,you could always meet me,ok?"
"Yes,and thank-you!"he called as she left.
"No problem!"she called back.
This was definitely a diffrent kind of contact,other's had been male,in their 40's or 60's and very secretive,only saying the window X as a calling card and never reveling identitys.This was a girl,St.Marys was a high school,so she was 17,tops,and very open.He needed to find Scully.

Scully fell asleep with her head in her mothers lap on her mothers couch watching some late-night talk show.Her mother had cooed her to sleep.Her dreams were filled with Mulder,and babys,and in this dream there was a new baby from her previous dreams,except this one was older and Scully couldn't tell the childs gender.
She awoke when her mother moved her to go answer the door.It was only 2 in the morning and Maggie answered it with caution.
"Fox!What are you doing here?"she asked letting him in.
"Is Scully here?She's not at her apartment and I saw her car in the driveway."
"Mom,who is it?"Scully asked,coming in to the front hall of her mothers home.
"Scully!We*have* to get out to San Diego,right away!"
"Mulder,what on earth are you talking about,go home,we can talk in the morning."
"Scully,listen,if I ever needed your trust and guidance it's now."he said,bending down closer to her like he was trying to win a fight,which he was.
"I'll let you two children talk."Maggie said.Scully stopped her.
"No!Mom,do you have any of my clothes here and a suitcase?"she asked,her eyes never leaving Mulder's,who was smiling.He had won the fight.He knew the trust thing would get her.
"Yes,Dana,would you like me to pack you a bag?"
"No,tell me where the stuff is and pack a dinner for Mulder and me,we haven't eaten,and mom?"
"Yes,Dana?"
"Make sure you pack iced tea."she said,walking up the stairs to pack.

45 minutes later they were on their way to the airport.They had stopped at Mulder's so he could pack.
"So,what did your mom pack for our dinner/lunch/breakfast?"
"Um,roastbeef and cheese with lettuce and tomato on a hardroll and iced tea."she said,smiling.
"Um,pass me a sandwich."Mulder said,they ate in silence on the way.
"What time is the flight?"
"5:05."
"San Diego?Why?"
"I met a new contact tonight.I think she's Deep Throats granddaughter,her names Alexandra Princeton,does that name ring a bell for you?"
"Princeton?I think her brothers are Matthew,Charles and Brian,they're all 24,they were training at Quanitco when I left,yes,they should be about 24 now."
"How old was Alexandra then?"
"She was their kid sister,Matt,Charlie and Brian were triplets,she was 11 five years ago,I met her once,she had my color hair,and was real short,she'd be about 16 now."
"She said if I ever desperately needed help to wait outside St Marys for her."
"Thats good,no more mysterious X's."
"Well,not exactly,she's supposed to tell me what I needed to know when Brock won't tell me."
"Oh.So,whats in San Diego."
"We have to see baby DKS-dash-2-dash-@(at)-dash-DC."
"What?What's that?"
"I'll explain it on the plane."Mulder said as they pulled into the airport parking lot.

The plane was practically empty.They had 2 seats in business class.
"Business class?"Scully questioned.
"Well,I called Skinner and told him the nature and importance of the case and we got a little advance on our,um,'allowance'"
"Could you explain this to me,Mulder?"
"Ok,Alexandra told me last August they took one of your ova's again.The baby's about a month old,Alex doesn't know the sex,but we're supposed to ask for DKS-dash-2-dash-@(at)-dash-DC and we could see the baby.She also had a note in the envelope that said she saw no reason why you couldn't have the baby.She also apologized but she doesn't know the father,only it was from a sperm donor from a D.C. fertility clinic,and he's a goverment employee."he said.The letter had hit him hard.He had given a donation to the clinic last July and had said he was a goverment employee,there was a possibility the baby was his."Scully,thats not all of it."
"What else?"Scully asked,turning to him,her eyes dancing,a baby!
"Last July I gave a donation to a sperm bank-"
"You could be the baby's father?"Scully asked.He expected a look of anger but all he saw was joy and anticipation.
"Yeah.Sorry."
"Don't be,it's ok.Let's just sleep until we get to San Diego,ok?"
"Sure."he said,as she put her head on his shoulder and fell asleep.He didn't sleep,but he spent the flight thinking.
Oh,she's so beautiful.How did I get so lucky to have an earth angel like her at my side?She's lied for me,almost died for me on several occasions,lost her sister,had her brother hate her(but,William junior is an asshole),got cancer,lost her right to bear children,lied to *congress* for me,followed me to the Artic,Puerto Rico,took care of me after my father died,respected me and the journey.She looked beneath my 'Spooky' exterior and stayed by myside.I'm lucky just to have the chance to know and love her.I'm just scared to lose her,then I think I would die.I would give her anything.I need to show her I love her more then life itself more often,just in case she doubts it.She stood by me through Bambi,Kristen Kilar,Detective White(I've changed my taste in favorite perfumes,mine is now Scully's.)and now Diana.If it had been Scully in that roomI would of died.Diana may have been my 'chickedee' for awhile,even my wife,but it didn't work out and I honestly didn't love her.And Pheoebe!She stood by me through Pheobe and took care of me after the fire,while Pheoebe was off god knows where.probably sleeping with the Lord whats his name..And Melissa Eipstien.It broke her heart,not thinking she was my soulmate...Oh my Dana,you are and always will be my soulmate.
Mulder caressed the cheek that wasn't against his shoulder.She smiled at his touch and her eyes opened a little.
"Hi."she said,smiling.
"Hi,how are you sleeping?"
"Good,good dreams,no nightmares."
"Good,I'll wake you up when we get there."he said,caressing her cheek as she closed her eyes."And Scully?"
"Yes?"she murmurred.
"Thank-you."he said.Then,as she was driftting into sleep,he whispered."For loving me too."a small smile crossed her face.

They arrived at San Diego International Airport around 9:00am EST,6am PST.Mulder woke Scully as they landed on the airstrip.Her head was still on his shoulder and it felt good to have her so close.
"Scully,we're here."Mulder said,caressing her cheek again and getting used to the feel of her smoothy silky skin under his and the sparks that he felt when he did.
"Ok."she said,sitting up and straightening her shirt.She was wearing a t-shirt that had been Mulder's that she kept at her mothers and a old pair of jeans from college that still fit.
"Sweet dreams?"he asked.During her sleep,she had murmurred out a few 'FOX's and an 'Oh Fox!'that had made him smile.She wasn't the only one who had those kind of fantasys.
"Um,yeah."she said,following him off the plane and claiming her bags.
"That's good.Dream about any Fox's?"he asked,smirking as he got in line for a rental car.
"Yeah...Yeah,I dreamed about a fox chasing me into the woods.."she said,coming up with a last minute excuse.
"Oh,ok."he said,getting the keys and leading her to the car.He took her bag and put both bags in the trunk.
"Where are we going first?"
"The motel,to finish getting some sleep."
"Ok."
They drove in silence to the San Diego Motel to their rooms,which as usual were adjoining.
"Mulder,what time are we leaving for wherever we're going?"
"Um,is noon ok?"
"Sure."Scully said,going into her room.This was impossible.Less then 12 hours ago,they were standing in the ruins of their office.She took a shower and put on a large t-shirt of her fathers that she kept as a nightshirt and knocked on Mulder's door.She had to ask.
"Mulder?"she asked after she recieved no answer.She turned the doorknob.It was open.She walked in.Mulder was lying on the bed in just a pair of black silk boxers,not sleeping but not terribly awake."Mulder,are you ok?"
"Scully!You scared me!"
"Sorry.I was worried about you."
"Come lie down."he patted the space on the bed next to him.She reluctantly took the space.She reluctantly put her head on his bare chest and he snuggled up next to her.He kissed her head and talked into her head."What did you want to ask me,babe?"he heart stopped.This wasn't happening.She wasn't lying in bed with Mulder when they were both practically naked snuggled up against him and he just called her babe.This couldn't get any better,the only way she could think that it would is if this baby was his.
"What did you say?"she asked,barely choking the words out.
"I said,what did you want to ask me babe?"he said,looking her in the eye.She bit her tongue!Ohh!Stung!It *wasn't* a dream.
"How are you acting so happy,you were so lost less then 24 hours ago,depressed,
scared.How can you be so calm,exciting,and in control?"
"I still have the files,Scully,so do the LoneGunMen.Did you actually think those were the only copies?Have more faith in me.I still have the files,myself,and most importantly,I have you."
"Oh,I'll go back to my room."she started to sit up.
"NO!Stay with me,please,baby."Baby?Babe?If these were nicknames for *any* other woman,he was a deadman,but I had a feeling I was safe.
"Ok,ok,are you sure?"
"Positive.I just want to wake up next to you,ok??"Aww,and he's giving me the puppy dog eyes,how could I say no?
"Ok."she said,curling up next to him and falling asleep.
"I love you,Scully."he whispered,he also drifting into sleep.

END PART 1 Scully woke up in Mulder's arms.He was lying,his arms still around her,she still snuggled against him.He was channel surfing. "Hey."she said,smiling up at him. "Morning Sunshine."he said,smiling down at her big baby blue eyes. "What time is it?" "About 10:30.Why?" "I better go shower and dress.Can we leave in about half an hour?" "Sure."he said,looking at her as she started walking toward the door."And Scully?" "Yes,Mulder?" "Thanks for staying this morning." "I wouldn't of missed it for the world."she said,smiling as she left. Scully entered her room and turned on the television.She put on some talk show and went to get a pair of old jeans and a t-shirt and light v-neck sweatshirt over it.As she was walking into the shower,she could hear Mulder singing You Are my sunshine,my only sunshine You make me happy,when skys are grey. You never know dear,how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine awaayyyy!! She smiled,humming the tune into her bathroom. About half hour later Scully was standing near their rental car waiting for Mulder.She had her cell phone in her pocket and her badge and ID in the other pocket.She didn't know who would call her,but she took it anyways.Her jeans were bleached and worn,and the white tee-shirt she wore nicely matched the thin sky blue v-neck sweater she was wearing,and was glad she had,because it was breezy. Mulder walked out of his room in black jeans and a black t-shirt.She loved that outfit on him. :"Sorry it took me so long!"he said,as they both got in the car. "It's ok,so,where first?" "Dunkin Donuts." "What?" "I would like some breakfast,ok?" "Oh,ok."she said,looking out the window until they pulled into Dunkin Donuts. "So,what do you want for breakfast babe?"he asked,getting out of the car and facing her.Another babe.This couldn't get any better. "Um,coffee,cream no sugar,and a bagel,plain,with cream cheese."she said. "Got it baby,be right back."he said.15 minutes later,he walked out carrying 2 coffee's and a bag."Hey."he said,getting in. "Hi,what did you get?" "Exactly the same.One coffee,one bagel."he said,handing her her breakfast. "Thanks.Now where?"she asked,sipping her coffee and taking a bite of bagel getting some on her upper lip. "Now,Mary's Main Street Nursery Orphanage."he said,reaching over and wiping her lip. "Good."she said,smiling as he wiped her lip. They ate and rode in silence.They arrived about 30 minutes later at a large brownstone on Main St.It had a cheery little sign outside that read: Mary's MainStreet Nursery Orphanage,125 Main Street,owner:Mary E.Honey. "Ready?"Mulder asked as they walked up the front steps.In the fornt yard,there was a tire swing on the elm tree, and there was a few water guns scattered over the yard and baby's playpen near the tree under the shade. "Yeah,ready."Scully said,looking around the yard.She smiled at Mulder,this child might be *theirs* not *Mulder's* not *Scully's* but *theirs* together.A young woman,wearing jeans and a t-shirt,with blonde hair and brown eyes.She looked pleasant and smart. "Hi,how can I help you?"she said,smiling as a little girl,who looked about 3,came up and clung to her leg. "We're looking for Mary Eliza Honey."Mulder said "Speaking."she said,shaking their hands."How can I help you?" "Mommy!!Mommy!"the little girl cried.Mary bent to the little girls hieght. "Yes,Jessie?" "Joesphine is crying.I want to hold her,can I mommy??" "Oh,Jessica,in a second,ok Munchkin?Go watch TV with Matt ok?" "Ok!"she said,skipping to the other room. "Oh,I'm sorry,my daughter...Oh,well,how can I help you?" "How many kids do you have here?"Scully asked "We have 5 bedrooms,but I only have 3 other kids beside Jessica,who's my daughter,I have Matthew,who's 5,Hilary,who's 7 and Joesphine who's a little over 1 month old." "We're with the FBI.I'm Special Agent Fox Mulder and this is my partner,Dana Scully.We were told to ask for DKS-dash-2-dash-@(at)-dash-DC,but I'm assuming thats Joesphine." "Oh!Agent's Mulder and Scully,I was told you were coming.Yes,you want Joey.Follow me."Mary said,leading them to a white nursery with a white bassinent in the center."This is Joesphine Samantha."she said,handing the baby to Scully.She had brown curls with red highlights and eyes that already looked hazel.There was no doubt in Scully's mind.It was a Mulder baby. "Hi,hi Joey.I'm your mommy."she said,walking with the baby.It felt so natural to Mulder,watching the woman he loved more then anything in the world walking with the baby that was more then likely his."Oh,I think Joesphine fits you perfectly.I've never been really fond of the name,but I think it's perfect,especially if you plan on being like your mommy and beating boys up!Perfect for a tomboy,Joey,who can play with the best of them.Oh,I love you,I'm never going to let you go.Your sister Emily is your guardian angel with Ahab and Auntie Missy."she said,cooing the baby,oblivious to the two other people in the room. "I was told that you Agent Scully,was her mother.If you would just sign some paper's,you can take Joey." "Oh,oh yes!"Scully said,following Mary to a study,where she pulled out papers."These are just temporary,when you get home you'll have to go through formal adoption." "I understand."Scully said,signing the papers. "Your going to need to buy some things.Theres a Baby Palace on Bradlee Ave.Joeys a size newborn.At the hotel,you should be able to get a crib there.If you have any questions,you can call me,ok?" "I know,let's go to the hospital,ok?" "Are you sure?" "Mulder,I want scientific hard evidence that she's mine and can't be taken away..Then I have some tough decisions....."she said,her mind wandering. "Like what?"he asked as he exited the ramp to the hospital. "Like,am I going to stay and risk my life everyday and constantly traveling,or am I going to leave and find a safer position,maybe resignated my medical license." Well,she does have the right to leave and keep her little girl safe,but lets face it Scully,she's more then likely mine too.I can't lose you Scully,I *need* you like I need air and water. I need to feel her silky skin,and her soft,silky hair,and smell her mix of perfume and body odor thats purely Scully.I want to give her a real life Scully,the family and love I never had.See her grow up and have kids,and graduate law school,and beat me at basketball,and make me little 'Happy Fathers Day' cards,and learn to tie her shoes,play t-ball,graduate kindergarten,smile,hiccup,and talk.I want to be your husband,hear you call my name in your climax's,call me love and sweetheart,and cuddle up next to me in bed,and share a bedroom with me,I want to give you what little I have,my love,soul,body and a crumby nickname.I need you Scully,and I want to raise my little girl......Mulder thought as he drove in silence. They sat in silence,lost in thought and watching the news until Dr.Carter returned about a half an hour. "Miss Scully?Joesphine?" "Here!"Scully said. "Follow me."Carter said as Mulder,Scully and Baby Joey followed him."Ok,first of all,the blood work is clean,no HIV,nothing,zip,zap." "Paternity and maternity?"Mulder asked.
