More Than This

Something stuirred in the air. They felt it, they breathed it, they knew what it was, but they just couldn't define it. She ran her hands through his hair and back down to his collar bone. Gazing into his eyes, she understood the essence of meaning, the reasons why he existed, why *they* existed. The hallway was cold, but they stood and held eachother so closely that neither of them felt it. Everything else had vanished, and they were not even aware of it. Nothing else existed. Nothing but a boy standing in front of a girl, about to confess his deepest darkest fears and fantasies which had been to well-hidden these past five years. He couldn't hold back, she couldn't.
Their lips grazed eachother's, leaving behind a promise of soemthing more and of what was to come. they lingered there, breathing eachother in, waiting. But the waiting was over, nothing was sacred. No grounds were to go untouched. No promises to be broken. Just peace. Just a man and a woman whom had shared almost everyhting with eachother, but not this.
His mouth gently coverd hers as she pulled incloser. So sweet, so tender. It was something never felt before, but expected at the moment of contact; but never thought to be so intense. So complete.
Nothing would stop them , nothing could as ling as they held eachother in the place they had so suddenly created for themselves. The place existed inside both of them, connecting what lay behing and ahead. Only the present would surface, revealing to eachother what no one else could ever understand.
Parting to take a breath, they stood; waist to waits, shoulder to shoulder, forehead to forehead. He beathed her in, just to make sure she was real, this was real. He had never known what he was missing: what touching really felt like, what breathing really sounded like, what the heart really felt. But love didn't exist...right? Mabye all this time she was only denying herself what she held closest to her: him. She flet her eyes water and a single tear fell onto his bottom lip. the tears came more frequently and his lifed his head to kiss the away. To assure her of his equal passion for her. He could give up the X-Files if he had to. He could give up his search, his passion which was now her.
She raised her head and they soon were mouth to mouth again, parting the waters of the sea which seperated them. he drew her in closer with his arm and she ran her fingers up and down his back. This was love. It did exist. nothing more, nothign less.... it was undenyable. It was the only thing which kept his alive and kept her from living out her life. They were eachother, one in tha same.
HIs lips left her mouth and moved down her cheek and to her ear. He whispered the three little words he had only confessed in his dreams and she returned them, pressing her mouth to his again.
