DOUBLE HELIX SERIES
This series is based in The Next Generation World but overlaps characters from different series. Like The Captain's Table, they are all written by different authors. I enjoyed these books as much as The Captain's Table series. There are six books in all. In the UK, books 1-4 have already been released, and books 5 and 6 are to be released in August. So far my favourite book has been Quarintine and red Sector, because you learn more about the background of those on the Marquis ship featured in Voyager.
The first attack on'half-breads' happens on Archaria III. It stars mainly Data and Tasha Yar. They both go undercover to try and find a cure. Meanwhile on the Enterprise, Troi has fallen sick with the virus and is at deaths door. It's up to Crusher to find a cure, while whatching her friend, Deanna dying. You'll have to read it to find out what happens.
BOOK 2: VECTORS; by Dean Smith and Kristine Rusch
The next time the virus stikes is at Terok Nor, now known as Deep Space 9. Ths book stars Dr. Pulaski and Kira.
Dr. Pulski has to try and find a cure for the virus which affecting both Cardassians and Bajorans, both side think it's the other sides doing. It's now up to Pulskai to find a cure and get out alive.
BOOK 3:RED SECTOR; by Diane Carey
This book focuses more on the background to the third virus attack.
This attack is on the Romulan royal family.
Spock and McCoy join forces with the Enterprise-D. they have to find a pure sample of Romulan blood to combat the virus. This was one of my favourite of the six and is a must read.
BOOK 4:QUARANTINE; by John Vornholt
In this book we meet Thomas Riker. A planet in the demilatrized zone between Federation and Cardassian space is the fourth attack.
In this book you find out a lot more about some of the characters in Voyager.
