How can you live so far from me
And yet, feel so very close and dear?
How is it I've never seen your face
And yet, heard your every loving word so clear?
How can my heart be so joyful and eager
When I see your name upon the net?
It surprises me that I can feel this way,
Although we've never met.
You bring the sunshine with you
And you chase away the rain
You've added a whole new dimension to my life
That I thought I would never gain.
Your special thoughtful ways, your loving nature,
Your wit, your gentleness, your flair;
Your trust, your nurturing and support --
There's so much more goodness there.
As part of my chosen family --
