Without Words

I need to say I Love You,

And believe you understand.

But such old words for such a new feeling,

Fail to express the emotion you command.

You command my respect, my admiration,

And I'm physically drawn to your side.

I'm constantly amazed  how you melt down the walls

Behind which I so often hide.

As a man, you are not unlike others,

Yet others are so unlike you.

I consider you my friend in true sense of the word.

And, in honesty, I can say that of few.

The significance of words takes my breath away,

Yet mine fail to express your importance.

I need you to know the true depth of my feelings,

Yet, without words, I don't stand a chance.

You have given me love, you've saved my soul,

You have shown me that Love is the way.

For all of these things, I fail to find words,

And "I Love You" is all I can say.
