Identifying the Opposition Paul Sanders How exactly do we define the subject of humanity? Are we but a bar code or a saleable commodity? Nobody made me God as a matter of fact I never claimed I was And I know I don’t have the right to say who gets to go and who gets to stay… I know that I don’t have the right- but neither do you. I think there’s obviously something that you fail to understand. Attaching names to things they aren’t- it’s getting out of hand. I’ve been misidentified because you’ve been misinformed: To be “pro-life” is not exclusively partial to the unborn. You say that you don’t see me even try to understand What’s going on in this young girls life when things don’t go as planned. You think I’m quick to criticize. You pass judgment too but don’t realize: I’m Not a fetal supremacist but a human equal opportunity activist. I’m an advocate of equal opportunity for each and every member of humanity So take the blindfolds off your eyes… Them clinic bombers they weren’t our guys! Nobody in this world has ever been anymore precious than you. But neither has anyone else ever existed of any lesser value. Why is it so hard for you to see? That we’re all in this world as equal members of humanity? Why is it so hard for you to see? That we’re all in this world together and no one is the enemy? Why is it so hard for you to see? The mother and the unborn child together in equality? Why is it so hard for you to see? The beauty of self-sacrificial, loving solidarity? …She says “it” doesn’t matter ‘cause “they” say it’s not alive. She’s fallen for these fallacies- not given the chance to realize That every human life is precious sacred and unique, Beginning at the moment of conception, not after forty weeks. She’s got more than a right to receive Honest accurate information. She’s got more than a right to conceive, But know that it becomes her obligation: To carry that baby to term that’s right, Yeah follow the way the truth and the light! I still don’t know for sure but I think I’ve maybe figured out why The motives of the opposition are really hard to identify. It’s not because they don’t comprehend the issue of morality, It’s more to do with indifference- it’s otherwise known as apathy. The culture of death; the blindness of pride. Self-exulting, others put aside. Neglecting to acknowledge what it is we really need: Redirection away from all our selfishness and greed!
