This is one of my favorite ways to travel....by motorcycle. Our 1986 Suzuki Cavalcade
has travelled 91,000km since we bought it. Total repair expenses in 12 years has
been less than $200.

This is our previous motorcycle, a Suzuki GT750, which we bought new in 1976.
The motorcycle still runs like new with 62,000 miles on the odometer. The pistons and rings were
replaced at 54,000 miles. When we used it for touring and commuting, it had a frame
mounted fairing, saddle bags and trunk box. I removed them and returned it to its
former non-touring setup. Other changes include phosphor-bronze swingarm bushings, Koni
10-way racing rear shocks and needle roller stearing head bearings. I still manage
to start it up and put a few miles on it each summer. It's a real fun bike to ride.

Here is another fine way to get somewhere. This is MAXICAT, a 1986 Nonsuch 26 Ultra.
It's not as fast as the motorcycle but is just as much fun. She also carries a lot more
supplies and comfort items than the bike. The boat sleeps 4 and has a complete galley
with 2 burner stove and oven. There is a head(bathroom) with sink and vanity and pressure
cold water system.
