EVALUATION CRITERIA
��This unit uses the Middle School Years IB program Technology grading scale. The maximum points one can earn in this unit will be 36 points. These points are used to inform the teacher in determining the grade you will receive on a 1 to 7 IB scale.

Unit Description: (What you must do)

An introductory unit designed to teach the basics of navigating the internet. Students participating in on-line and off-line activities such as accessing the internet, sending electronic mail, browsing news groups, and completing research activities. Also discussed is Internetiquette acceptable behaviours and standard of conduct. To demonstrate the above skills, you will need to submit a portfolio that describes your E-life.

Investigate: (Maximum 8 points)

Sometimes the hardest part of the course for some students is to gain access to the internet at home. Others already are on the internet with an E-Mail address. Students are permitted to access their e-mail through Hotmail, Yahoo, Worldmailer and other web based email services. You are able to access your email before and after school or with permission from your teacher during school hours for educational purposes.
