Princess Leia, adopted by the Organa household at a very early age, has always been faithful to the Rebellion's cause. While on a mission to reach Ben Kenobi on Tatooine, her flagship was captured by the Evil Lord Darth Vader. The droids C-3PO and R2-D2 were found by Jawas and sold to a farm boy and his uncle.She met up with the farm boy when he rescued her from the Death Star, and joined the beloved Rogue Squadron.
Above, the princess is held by Darth Vader as she watches her home planet of Alderaan be destroyed by the Emperor's superlaser on the Death Star. It has just been decided that she will be executed.
After she and the Rebels were forced from their hidden base on Yavin 4, then driven from their other hidden base on the Ice Planet of Hoth, she, Han Solo, Chewbacca and C-3PO were on an escape across the galaxy away from the Galactic Empire. While in an asteroid, hidden from the Imperials, Leia fell in love with Solo, and in Shadows Of The Empire (a novel written about the events that take place in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return OF The Jedi) she mounts a mission to rescue Han, that fails as she is taken prisoner by Prince Xixor.
In Return Of The Jedi, she joins a team of Rebels in trying to destroy the seconds Death Star's Shield Generator on the Forest Moon of Endor. During this, she finds out Luke is her brother, and that she is a potential Jedi Knight, as the Force runs strong in her family.
